Admission Counselling
While you Fill In
1. Read the instructions given in prospectus & on the Admission Form.
2. Fill the Admission Form in your own handwriting.
3. Get it signed by parent/guardian.
4. Deposit two passport size photographs with the form.
5. Get it checked from Admission Board.
6. Admission will be given on Merit basis as per availability of seats in a subject or faculty.
7. Face interview conducted by the Admission Board.
8. The students granted admission will deposit the fee in the Accounts Office on the same day
Note: The parents are required to read the prospectus carefully before signing the form. The total responsibility of having read the rules and regulations shall lie upon them.
Documents Needed :
1. Original certificate and marks sheet of the lower examination passed (Attach Photostat Copies)
2. Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
3. Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Backward Class students are required to attach certificate from the competent authority.
4. Outstanding players, speakers, singers, fine artists and other artists require supporting certificates.
5. Original migration certificate issued by GNDU to the students who have passed their qualifying examination from other institutions except from PSEB/GNDU.
6. Eligibility certificate issued by the GNDU to the students who have passed their qualifying examination from other institution except from PSEB, Punjab University & Punjabi University.
7. Foreign students need to submit : (a) Student Visa (b) Aids Test Clearance Certificate
8. Aadhar Card should be linked with Mobile No of the candidate.
Note :
1. The Principal reserves the right to grant or refuse admission in the College to any student without assigning any reason.
2. The Principal can cancel the admission of even such a student as has been admitted to the College without assigning
any reason whatsoever.
3. The students registered with the GNDU/PSEB are required to write their registration number in the column provided in the Admission Form so that such students do not have to pay the University/Board Registration Fee again. Only continuation fee will be charged from such students.
4. Detained students are not re-admitted to the College in any class :
(i) Astudent placed under compartment in matriculation examination held by any school education board is
not granted admission to the next higher class even provisionally.
(ii) No student shall be admitted to any class even provisionally on the production of confidential result card
Financial Commitments
(iii) A student admitted provisionally to any class is required to submit the original certificate of the lower examination passed within 15 days of admission for issue of University Registration Number failing which the Admission of the student to the College shall stand cancelled automatically although he/she might have paid all College dues. The dues thus paid shall not be refunded.
(iv) The students placed under compartment in any examination of another University shall not be allowed Admission to the higher class even provisionally.
(v) Admission to the College is made provisionally at the sole risk and responsibility of a student, and it is subject to the subsequent approval of GNDU/PSEB. If approval to admission is with held by the competent authority (for the reason that the student concerned has failed to provide the required document in time/has hidden some information/given false information/is not eligible to join the class otherwise), the entire
responsibility in such a case will lie with the student himself/herself. He/she will not be entitled to any claim whatsoever from the college.
(vi) The students who have passed lower examination from a Board/University other than PSEB/ a Board Punjab
University/Punjabi University must apply for eligibility certificate to GNDU. The requisite form can be had from the Account Office and the same may be deposited in the General Office alongwith the supporting documents
Change In Subject
A student with the concurrence of the teacher concerned and by the approval of the Principal may change a subject or subjects within a week of the date of commencement of the classes by applying on the prescribed form available from the concerned student clerk. Application Form for change of subject unless it is signed by the Father/Guardian shall be rejected. No change of subjects or faculty will be allowed after 15 days.
Note: THE PRINCIPAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO LEVY A UNIFORM CESS FOR MEETING EXPENDITURE ON
UNFORESEEN & EMERGENT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS OF THE COLLEGE.
1. The Science/Computer fee paid by the student at the time of Admission shall not be refunded or adjusted against any college dues even if a student changes the Science Faculty/Computer Science/Applications subject.
2. The dues once paid will not be refunded even if the student leaves the college during the mid-session. Only security will be refunded and that too if the dues are otherwise clear.
3. Any student who for one or the other reason wants to leave the college must seek the permission of the Principal in writing and clear all the dues before hand.
4. Students who intend coming on cycles/scooters/mopeds/motor-cycles etc. during the mid-session must seek Principal’s permission, and pay for the whole session.
General Rules And Regulation
1. Students should maintain discipline. They should be courteous towards their fellow-students and the administrative staff on duty.
2. Students should keep proper decorum in their conduct. Smoking and the use of other intoxicants on the campus strictly prohibited.
3. The College shall not be held responsible in any way for any consequences whatsoever which may arise account of accident, fighting amongst themselves or any injury sustained by a student.
4. Keeping in view the constraints of a small campus, students should not make noise and thus disturb the classes Students should not roam about in varandahs and work-places.
5. Students should not park their vehicles at or near the main gate. They should switch off their vehicles before entering the campus and start the same outside the College gate. No honkig be practised on the campus.
6. Students are warned not to bring/invite outsiders/ to the College. Any students found guilty would be punished with suspension/fine or even expulsion.
7. Guardians who want to see their wards in case of an emergency should contact the Office Superintendent.
8. All the students must have their identity cards with them while coming to the College and during their stay on the campus, and they must produce the same when asked to do so by the College Staff. They must wear the Student Badge.
9. Students found guilty of using unfair means in the College examinations/practicals shall be punished asper the decisions of the Committee.
10. The names of the students who remain continuously absent from their class/practicals for 15 days will be removed from the College rolls. They will be re-admitted, if they so desire, by the Principal as per College rules.
11. Girl students should wear traditional dress while coming to the College. They are required to wear shirt, salwar and dupatta. In no case are they allowed to come to the College in western dress i.e. jeans, skirts, shorts.
